"You need to be content with small steps. That's all life is. Small steps that you take everyday so when you look back down the road it all adds up and you know you covered some distance.” Katie Kacvinsky
I have been there. A few years ago.
I moved to the Netherlands in 2012. In 2014, I graduated from MSc Urban Environmental Management at Wageningen University.
I remember after my graduation, I asked myself a question "What's next?"
One thing I knew for sure: I want to gain experience in the Netherlands. My first response to my post-graduation blues was of course: Finding a job in the Netherlands.
Yet after months and months of searching. There was still no result. Among many other factors, the Dutch language requirement was the main obstacle.
"Oh, what to do now....?"
Does this story sound familiar to you?
What if I tell you there is a little-known way for non-EU nationals to pave their way in the Netherlands with 'Start-up residence permit'?
After a lot of thinking, I made the decision to simply take my first step to set up a business in the Netherlands. And another and another... Little did I know that that first step has led me to an invaluable experience in the Netherlands and opened me to a wide range of opportunities.
If I can do it, you can do it too.
It is a matter of taking the step. Each step you take reveals a new horizon. You have taken the first step by reading this. Now, I challenge you to take another.
